
Tamworth Cricket Club have completed a sensational swoop for former England Lions star Matt Coles ahead of the 2021 South Staffs County League campaign.
The talented all-rounder enjoyed a hugely successful professional career on the county circuit with Kent, Hampshire and Essex .
He took 368 wickets and scored 2,624 runs in 116 First-Class appearances and also played for Bangladesh Premier League side Dhaka Dynamites as well as representing England Lions.
Tamworth CC First XI captain Jake Flower told the Tigers’ official website: “I am delighted we’ve been able to bring Matt in for the 2021 season.
“He is someone we feel will fit in well with the Squad and the whole club can look forward to seeing him at Hints Lane.
“Matt has played at the top level for over a decade and his experience and skill will be invaluable as we look to take that step back into the Birmingham League.”
