Gary Smith says a mouthwatering home clash with Royston Town is the perfect motivation for Tamworth to bounce back from two successive defeats.
The Lambs suffered a first loss of the campaign last Saturday, slipping to a 1-0 defeat at Alvechurch.
The injury-hit squad were then humbled 6-1 at Oxford City in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
But Tamworth have the chance to reassert themselves as they host a Royston side who challenged the Lambs for the title before the 2019-20 was null and voided due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Joint boss Smith said: “We have been here before in terms of losing a game although probably not in the manner of the Oxford match and score.
“But I am sure we are capable of bouncing back as we have shown in the past.
“For me there’s no better game for us to bounce back than a league game against one of our biggest rivals last season.
“They had a fantastic side last year with a great understanding amongst their players. They play with spirit and it’s going to be a game where we will have to be at our best if we are to get something from it.
“They certainly won’t make it easy for us but we don’t have time to be feeling sorry for ourselves. We need to react in a positive way.”
The Lambs are looking to bring in former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Aram Soleman while they are also eyeing up striker Jack Ryan.
